The Worldview of Meta-Soul
In 2099 AD, economic imbalance reaches its peak and materialism reaches its climax with the worst polarization. State-of-the-art weapons are mobilized in the invasion of great powers to occupy limited resources, and they do not hesitate to use chemical and biological weapons to have the upper hand in the war. Eventually, the war escalates across the whole world, destroying most of the Earth. People were slaughtered horribly to the extent where the number of surviving people could not be counted. But that was just the beginning.
As the aftermath of the Great War on Earth, all living things are infected with unknown viruses or experience serious genetic mutations, so bizarre mutant creatures that have never been seen before begin to threaten survivors all over the Earth. They are called 'mutants', dangerous mutants who have persistent survival power and strong lethality through mutations, and the survivors have no choice but to tremble for fear due to the formidable mutants that destroy all living creatures.
Another threat from mutants begins on Earth, which is different from the Great War caused by humans.
Human's last defense base, Siena. A new hope is emerging to save the Earth in the so-called 'Elan System'. ELLA is a new human being born as a result of decades of research in the Elan system, which is an agglomeration of state-of-the-art science and technology based on the DNA data of all living things. ELLA, a new combat human with superhuman strength, stamina, and strong mental power, has born with the power of genetic engineering.
An organic high-tech AI ‘Eloyd’, which has a human form but has the brain of a supercomputer, plans and spearheads all of these, is the real ruler of the Elan system, and sets out to cultivate combat human ELLAs to face the mutants that threaten the Earth. ELLAs, many times stronger than humans and superior in combat ability, have become fighting weapons against formidable mutants without fear.
However, there were also trial and error. Unlike humans, who grow through learning and experience, ELLAs are created from cloned DNA and data injected into the brain. Therefore, ELLAs were often victimized by mutants in battle due to sudden behaviors or learning side effects caused by data abnormalities. Humanoid mutants with excellent intelligence took advantage of ELLA's weakness to extract, use, and discard important information. Survivors have worked cooperatively within the defense system around Siena, but some have created their own forces and ruled cities. As a result, fierce power struggles arose to secure scarce resources and fighters, who has abilities that could not be considered as human abilities, flocked to cities.
The NSO puts ELLAs into numerous operations to solve the problem in order to maintain social order in this turbulent time. Eloyd continues to cultivate stronger ELLAs and engage them in operations to eliminate threats for the purpose of restoring the Earth.
With their fatal attraction, ELLAs are still operating somewhere on the Earth. ELLAs are new human beings who dream of being more than humans and their rough life is unfolding now.
